Dhamaal 4 Day 5 Box Office Nears ₹100 Crore in India

The laughter hasn’t completely faded for Dhamaal 4, even after the excitement of its opening weekend. While weekday collections naturally slowed down, the comedy entertainer has managed to stay stable at the ticket windows instead of witnessing a sharp fall. That steady performance has pushed the film another step closer to the ₹100 crore India gross milestone, showing that family audiences are still turning up despite the mixed response from critics.

Led by Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Jaaved Jaaferi, the fourth chapter of the popular franchise continues to benefit from its established fan base. The film opened strongly over the weekend, and although weekdays usually test a movie’s real strength, Dhamaal 4 has remained in the race with consistent numbers. The hold also suggests that positive word-of-mouth from sections of the audience is helping the film maintain momentum.

Day 5 Shows a Positive Trend

According to trade estimates from Sacnilk, Dhamaal 4 collected around ₹9.50 crore net in India on its fifth day while playing across 11,077 shows nationwide. That takes the film’s domestic net collection to ₹83.25 crore, while the India gross has reached ₹99.44 crore. Rather than slipping further after Monday, the film actually recorded a modest rise of nearly 8.6% over its Day 4 earnings of ₹8.75 crore, giving exhibitors another encouraging sign.

Its journey so far has been powered by a strong weekend. The film opened with ₹14 crore, jumped to ₹22.50 crore on the second day, and reached ₹28.50 crore on Sunday. Those three days alone contributed ₹65 crore net, giving the comedy a healthy cushion before the weekday test began. With another weekend approaching, the coming days will decide how quickly the film can move toward the ₹100 crore net milestone.

Internationally, the film also added to its earnings. It reportedly collected another ₹1.50 crore overseas on Day 5, taking its international gross to ₹16 crore. As a result, the movie’s worldwide gross collection now stands at ₹115.44 crore, giving the franchise another commercially successful chapter despite divided reviews.

Franchise Sets New Records

One of the biggest talking points has been how Dhamaal 4 has performed compared to recent Bollywood releases. The film has comfortably crossed the opening weekend figures of Welcome To The Jungle, strengthening its position among this year’s better-performing commercial entertainers. More importantly, it has also delivered the strongest opening weekend in the history of the Dhamaal franchise, moving ahead of Total Dhamaal (2019) and setting a fresh benchmark for the series.

The latest release has also moved ahead of Ajay Devgn’s earlier 2025 film De De Pyaar De 2 in terms of its early box office pace. While the genres are completely different, the comparison highlights the audience’s continued interest in broad comedy when backed by a familiar franchise. Whether the film can maintain this consistency during its second weekend will now become the biggest question for the trade.

Directed by Indra Kumar, the film brings together a large ensemble that includes Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Upendra Limaye, Anjali Anand, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Esha Gupta and Vijay Patkar alongside its returning stars. Serving as a direct sequel to Total Dhamaal, the story once again revolves around a treasure hunt packed with misunderstandings, chaos and over-the-top comic situations that longtime fans of the series have come to expect.

Mixed Reviews, But Audience Interest Continues

Critical reception has been divided since release, with several reviewers feeling the film relies heavily on nostalgia instead of introducing fresh ideas. One review noted, “Overall, for a film called Dhamaal, there’s little fun to be had. It recycles its story, music and even its brand of comedy, hoping nostalgia will do the heavy lifting. It doesn’t. The only thing buried under ‘M ke neeche’ is whatever made the first Dhamaal work.” Despite such reactions, the film’s box office journey tells a slightly different story, with family audiences continuing to support it in theatres.

The franchise also appears to have a long future ahead. Reports suggest that a post-credit scene teases Dhamaal 5, with Farhad Samji expected to write the next installment. While an official production timeline is yet to be announced, the ending clearly indicates that the makers have no plans to end the comedy universe anytime soon. If the current film continues to hold well over the coming weekends, the confidence behind another sequel is likely to grow even stronger.
