Kit Harington and Sophie Turner are teaming up again, but this time their on-screen dynamic looks very different. The Game of Thrones duo, who played half-siblings Jon Snow and Sansa Stark for eight seasons, now star as love interests in Natasha Kermani’s gothic horror film The Dreadful. And Harington admits the shift took some getting used to.
In a recent conversation with E! News, Harington revealed that Turner was actually the one who sent him the script. But she didn’t notice what immediately stood out to him.
“She was the one that sent the movie to me and somehow didn’t see what I saw in it,” he said. “I was like, ‘These guys… these are lovers, right?’ I felt very odd about that.”
He also joked about the practical challenges of filming their romantic scenes.
“It was slightly embarrassing having to get on an apple box to kiss her because she’s about a foot taller than me,” he said. “But other than that, my dignity was intact.”
Despite the initial awkwardness, Harington said the reunion felt warm and familiar. Working with Turner again reminded him of their years together on the Game of Thrones set.
“It was a good chance to be with her again and work together,” he shared. “Our friendship completely ignited again. It felt like being with family. It really did.”
